This time of year is full of holiday planning, family time, traditions, gift buying, and often increased stress and financial worry. It has always been my favorite time of year, but even more so now that I have children.
My boys are (slowly) learning the value of giving, cost of items, and what it means to save. They know that before they can get a new toy they have to give one away. On their level, they’ll learn to be grateful for what they have. As a family, I want us to be aware of consumption, waist, know what we have, and save for something more meaningful.
In the spirit of planning for the holidays, I am posting a blog series called Get Organized for Savvy Savings. I hope these upcoming posts lead to your creative ways for giving, inspire you to edit what you have before you buy, and add to the order in your home.
Share this blog with those around you to jump-start the conversation about how you can save, give, and be savvy during this time of year…and beyond. Friends and family can subscribe to the blog and ‘like’ the Simply Savvy Facebook page to share their ideas and experiences.
I look forward to sharing with you!
